Some of the darkest clouds I’ve seen yet were swirling above the city this morning. But that didn’t seem to deter people from being outside running, walking, fishing, or just hanging out watching the scenery.
I’m always amazed at how many people are out at 5am. I don’t think there’s been a single day since I started this project over 180 days ago when I didn’t see anyone outside. Even when I’ve been out in the snow or the rain, there has always been at least someone out running or walking a dog or something.
Seeing that every day is motivating for me, and it makes me feel a little less crazy for what I’m doing. I give people a lot of credit for being out there…I know how difficult it can be, especially at first. But, like most things, it does get a lot easier over time.
