Maybe I’m stubborn, maybe I’m crazy.

But I wasn’t going to let the cold, wind, and rain stop me from going to my third favorite spot to watch the sunrise on the third to last morning of the year, as I’m counting down my 7 favorite spots to watch the sunrise in Hoboken.

The Hudson River Waterfront Walkway was completed just a few years ago, and it features this great pier which can be a bit of a rush to walk out on.

I cycled through 8 filters during my photo session this morning, because each one only lasted a couple of minutes before they would become completely drenched an unusable. I’ve shot in heavier rain before, but this was probably the most challenging because of the unyielding wind constantly blowing the raindrops directly in my face.
