Sometimes amazing things will happen. You’ve got to be ready for when they do.
Wednesday, December 9, 2015 (Day 343)
The boats are all long gone, but it’s been a pretty mild December with only a few weeks left in the year.
I’ve gotten away with not having to brave any crazy weather so far this season, much unlike the start of the year, and that does not appear to be changing any time in the next week or so. At that point there will only be about two weeks left in the year, so even if it gets really cold I will know the end is in sight.
This morning was cloudy, but there were a few minutes where a slight pink glow appeared at the horizon.
Friday, September 18, 2015 (Day 261)
Friday, July 24, 2015 (Day 205)
A gorgeous morning up at the marina. It was the kind of morning that fills you with optimism about the day ahead. There were just a handful of clouds, and as the sun rose it illuminated their edges in a bit of orange.
This was another “second coming” sunrise shot (if you don’t know what that means, read my post from a few days ago).
I had intended to have some fun with my GoPro this morning, but it froze up on so I had to revert to plan b which is my iPhone. I suppose it’s good to have a plan b sometimes.
Wednesday, May 27, 2015 (Day 147)
Fast moving clouds and an orange glow near the horizon provided some drama at the marina this morning.
Often you will hear people describe an amazing scene they experienced, and they will show you a picture they took of it and say, “this photo doesn’t do it justice.” I’ve said that many times myself. One of my goals with this project is to get my photography to the point where I don’t have to say “this photo doesn’t do it justice” anymore. I’m sure it is impossible to get the to that point 100% of the time, but the idea is to try to really capture the essence of the scene with each photograph as much as possible.
