Lavender.
Normally I don’t adjust the colors on my photos, but today I did adjust the color–I actually turned DOWN the purple. I try to make them look as realistic as possible and true to what the scene actually looked like, and today the color just didn’t look believable.
The rare purple sky was back this morning, and I took a few early shots when it was still mostly dark out and the sky was a dark purple, similar to what we saw last week. But I decided to wait a few minutes to see what would happen when it got a little lighter out. The dark purple faded and the sky turned gray, but suddenly the entire scene, everything around me, glowed in this lavender.
This type of all-around glow is rare to begin with, and I’ve only seen it pink or orange a few times, on days where it is just the right type of overcast with just the right amount of haze. But I’ve never seen it quite like this.
