I like photographing old, historic landmarks, partially for their rustic appeal, and partially out of respect and appreciation for what they represent. This waterfront used to be a working shipyard, before the area gave way to factories and, eventually, luxury condos. Some of the remnants of the old shipyard can still be found here, and I hope they remain for a long time because they add a lot of character to the waterfront.

Monday, March 9, 2015 (Day 68)
I wandered around searching for a shot that would convey the feeling of this rainy winter morning. It’s often not an easy task on a day like today.
Warmer temperatures for the second day in a row combined with a light drizzle has been causing much of the snow to melt, and has given the streets and sidewalks an icy sheen.

Monday, February 23, 2015 (Day 54)
It was yet another cloudy, cold, windy morning. This photo is a panoramic of the view to which I awoke. I do feel lucky to be able to see both the World Trade Center and the Empire State Building (well at least part of it) from my window. It’s a great way to start the day, even on what may appear to be an uninviting morning.
