City on fire. Or is it? The light from the rising sun burned a hole in the horizon through the heavy cloud cover. Low hanging puffs of clouds illuminated in bright orange to resemble flames from a raging fire in NYC.

Tuesday, June 2, 2015 (Day 153)
(Tuesday, June 2nd) Bleacher seats. I think tennis is rained out for today.
It was 50 degrees when I went out this morning, so I had to layer up. That alone wouldn’t have been so bad, except it started to rain as soon as I got to my shooting location, and the wind was unrelenting. So I kept getting sprayed with rain from the strong and constant gusts of wind. Of course the wind was blowing from the direction in which I was shooting, so I was getting pelted in the face (and the lens). I kept attempting to wipe off the front of my lens but it proved futile. That’s ok, because I think the blurry raindrops on my lens in a photo like this help to convey the experience of shooting it.
Monday, June 1, 2015 (Day 152)
It’s been a while since we’ve had a rainy morning. Rain or shine, I’m out there every day photographing the sunrise. There is a Chinese proverb that says, “No man who can rise before dawn 360 days a year fails to make his family rich”. My photo of the sunrise each morning is my own personal validation that I have risen to the challenge yet another day.
Sunday, May 31, 2015 (Day 151)
(Sunday, May 31st) Had an amazing morning up at the inlet. This has to be one of my all time favorite places to watch the sunrise. It took me a little while to get the camera settings and composition just the way I wanted them, but luckily everything was set just in time for this moment. A fraction of a second later, I was soaked. It was worth it.
