One of the most amazing sunrises I’ve ever seen happened this morning. It served as a reminder of how precious life really is.

The return of color.
For the past couple of months, the early morning colors about 20 minutes prior to sunrise have been almost nonexistent, giving way to a later burst of color a few minutes after sunrise.
If you been following me for a while, you know this was not a bad thing, but that I have to adjust my schedule a bit to get the most out of my shooting time. Plus, the earlier colors are generally more brilliant and surreal.
Gradually, over the past couple of weeks, the early colors have been cropping up again, a little more each day, and I think it is safe to say at this point they are back in full force.

This morning’s photo shoot lasted much longer than usual because the clear sky left me hunting for new perspectives. I had a few decent shots early on, but I wasn’t quite satisfied, so I kept going. I’m glad I did because the shot you see here was one of my last before returning home.
Another chilly morning meant jeans and a hoodie for me for the second day in a row. I’m wondering if this is the end of shorts and a t shirt for me in the mornings. It’s not a big deal, but it means I have to account for an extra few minutes to get dressed in the morning.
Also, does anyone out there use Periscope? I’m thinking about doing a live feed soon to show people my morning routine.
I’ll also be doing videos in the coming months which will be uploaded to YouTube and sent to my email subscribers.
Monday, September 14, 2015 (Day 257)
Electric morning. The colors in the sky this morning were intense. It was also the chilliest morning we’ve had in months.
It was yet another reminder of how quickly things change. But more important than change itself is how we adapt to it.
If you live in my area then today you will inevitably hear a lot of people making a very big deal about the sudden drop in temperature. Don’t be one of those people. The ones who get wrapped up in small things like this never accomplish anything noteworthy because their minds are too cluttered and fraught with petty worries that get in their way.
Learn to roll with things as they happen, and accept things for what they are.
