It’s December 1st, and today the sun rose at 7am for the first time since we turned our clocks back over a month ago. After 11 months, I’m in the home stretch.
Don’t shy away from your challenges, your problems, your fears. Face them head on.
This morning it was raining lightly, and although I went out with an umbrella, I found myself looking for shooting locations that would give me the best shelter from the rain. But when the clouds turned a gorgeous blue, I decided an unobstructed shot would be better, so I went out to the end of this pier.
I took a few shots while holding my umbrella overhead for protection, but after a little while I decided I wanted to really covey the experience of the rain, so I put my umbrella down and let the rain prevail.
I was outside for about 20 minutes, and other than dog walkers (who were not really out there by choice), I saw only one person running–a girl who obviously was dedicated enough to be out there in the cold and rain, not avoiding challenges but rather facing them head on. It was good to know I was not alone this morning.
