Electric morning. The colors in the sky this morning were intense. It was also the chilliest morning we’ve had in months.

It was yet another reminder of how quickly things change. But more important than change itself is how we adapt to it.

If you live in my area then today you will inevitably hear a lot of people making a very big deal about the sudden drop in temperature. Don’t be one of those people. The ones who get wrapped up in small things like this never accomplish anything noteworthy because their minds are too cluttered and fraught with petty worries that get in their way.

Learn to roll with things as they happen, and accept things for what they are.

As the sun was rising this morning, I was happy to see the World Trade Center tribute lights still piercing the morning sky, and the Empire State Building still fully lit up in red, white, and blue.

I took a few photos of the early colors and then just sat on a bench for a few minutes to reflect and take it all in.

On this day 14 years ago, our lives were forever changed.

No matter what they take away from us, they cannot take away our spirit.

We will move forward, but we will never forget.
