(Sunday, May 31st) Had an amazing morning up at the inlet. This has to be one of my all time favorite places to watch the sunrise. It took me a little while to get the camera settings and composition just the way I wanted them, but luckily everything was set just in time for this moment. A fraction of a second later, I was soaked. It was worth it.

Friday, May 29, 2015 (Day 149)
The sky was mostly clear this morning, except for these streaks of clouds at the north end of the Hudson River. Those streaks are not due to a long exposure, that’s what they really looked like.
I’ve been getting several inquiries per week from people wanting to buy prints. My online store is almost ready, so in the meantime if you want to make a purchase you can send me a message via the contact page on my website.
Keep an eye out for the announcement of my email newsletter in the next few days, those who subscribe will be the first to know when the store is available.
Thursday, May 28, 2015 (Day 148)
When life gives you a cloudy day, stop and smell the roses.
Overcast mornings like this sometimes make me nervous that I’m not going to find anything notable to photograph. But a scene always seems to appear from out of nowhere, and I know immediately that I have to capture it.
Also, today I started integrating some exercise into my morning routine. In the next few days, I’ll be announcing the launch of my email list, where I’ll share more about what I do and how I do it, both in photography and life in general. Remember, this project isn’t about the photography, it’s about establishing a better daily routine to improve one’s life.

Fast moving clouds and an orange glow near the horizon provided some drama at the marina this morning.
Often you will hear people describe an amazing scene they experienced, and they will show you a picture they took of it and say, “this photo doesn’t do it justice.” I’ve said that many times myself. One of my goals with this project is to get my photography to the point where I don’t have to say “this photo doesn’t do it justice” anymore. I’m sure it is impossible to get the to that point 100% of the time, but the idea is to try to really capture the essence of the scene with each photograph as much as possible.
