A slippery slope. Frozen tire tracks on the pier made a nice reflection this morning as the sun cast its first rays.

There was a slight haze hanging over the city this morning, creating a bit of an eerie effect. I took a few photos and began to get ready to head back inside. Just then, I saw a family of geese approaching by air. I quickly got set up again and was able to capture them as they passed through my frame.
It seems the best shots each morning often come right when I’m about to leave. There is a delicate balance between knowing when to be satisfied with what I have and when to hold out for one last opportunity
Tuesday, March 3, 2015 (Day 62)
Much of the ice in the river appears to have melted, but the docks over at the marina are still covered in snow. I decided to show the scene this morning with a panoramic, so you can see the entire marina along with the whole city skyline.
Monday, March 2, 2015 (Day 61)
I woke up to a blue morning of clouds and freshly fallen snow. It’s a far cry from what I had just experienced over the past few days, and I really felt discouraged from going out to take a photo.
Once I got out there, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, and the blanket of snow along with the icy river made for a good photo.
