The sky was a glowing blue haze as a thick fog hung over the city this morning.
I used to be disappointed when I would wake up to an overcast morning, but now I look forward to it.

I took photos from multiple locations this morning, but this one was my favorite. Another great view from the Stevens campus. This lone bench is a very peaceful spot.

There were no fish being caught at this fishing hole this morning, but it was a good place to catch the sunrise.
I’ve been waking up much earlier than my alarm almost every morning, and that is probably due to being used to waking up even earlier before we turned the clocks ahead for daylight savings time. This makes me feel confident about being able to handle it as the sunrises continue to get earlier and earlier in the months ahead.

(From yesterday, March 23rd) I got the idea for this shot the other day when I was out running. When there isn’t much going on in terms of clouds or colors on a given morning, I try to add a little more context to the shot to make it more interesting. I always enjoy seeing photos like this under a pier at the beach, so this is a more urban play on that concept.

Puffs of clouds hung over the city this morning, and as the sun began to approach the horizon, those clouds turned bright orange against the pale orange sky.
