Ask, and ye shall receive. Yesterday I spoke about wanting a sunrise with just the right amount of clouds. Today, clouds painted the sky with bright pink and orange. This was probably my favorite sunrise of the year so far.

Saturday, January 10, 2015 (Day 10)
Sometimes you will hear someone fondly describe something as “a peach”. Well, this morning was a peach, at least in terms of color. Mostly orange, with a slight pinkish tint. I hope I captured it well enough here.
It seems like the mornings so far have been either completely cloudless or completely blanketed with clouds. I’m looking forward to a morning with just the right amount of cloud formations. But, I am certainly happy with anything nature throws my way.
Friday, January 9, 2015 (Day 9)
Yes, this is a sunrise photo. Falling snow blanketed both the ground and sky this morning, shrouding completely the NYC skyline. It was coming down pretty hard, so I was only set up for about a minute or so to capture some photos.
Yes, you can say that maybe I’m a little crazy to be out there in that weather. But at least I wasn’t the only one.

Orange and yellow dominated this morning’s sunrise. The warm tones make you forget about the single-digit temperature outside.
Today I zoomed in for a closeup of the New York City skyline and was able to capture the first moment of the sun peeking over the buildings.

Tried something a little different today. Here is a time lapse video of this morning’s sunrise.
It’s another cold morning, this time with snow on the ground, so shooting this video was a good way to avoid the cold while having some fun at the same time.
