Today was one of those “anything that can happen will happen” kind of days. Every possible obstacle stood in my way as I tried to get out the door. I had trouble finding everything I needed, some things were out of place, and every time I was about to leave I kept realizing that I was forgetting things. It would have been much easier to stay home and take a photo from my window. But I managed to prevail and made it outside to capture the sunrise, and I’m happy I made the effort.
It was a pale yellow morning. Since I was outside a few minutes later than usual, I had to act fast. I made a somewhat nice photo that I planned on posting, but then I walked a little further down and made the photo you see here. I decided to use this photo because the trees obstructing the view made me think of the obstacles I faced this morning, and the pale yellow color captured here is unlike any of the photos I’ve posted so far.
For the second day in a row, someone jogging saw me with my camera, jogged past me for about 50 feet, stopped, and took a photo of the sunrise with their phone. It made me happy to think that maybe I was influencing people to stop and appreciate the view.
